Central Securities Keeps Dividend at $0.20

Closed-end investment shop Central Securities announced yesterday its dividend dividend of $0.20 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on June 25. Central Securities typically makes two payments each year, with a cash payment at mid-year, and a distribution consisting primarily of realized capital gains paid at year end. The closed-end investment company has paid dividends every year since 1955.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.40-per-share annual dividend, yielding 1.9% based on the closing price of Central Securities' stock on May 22.
