Adobe to Acquire Thumb Labs

Updated

Creative software specialist Adobe is giving a thumbs up to Thumb Labs, acquiring the small mobile app developer. Thumb Labs was founded just three years ago, and has quickly earned recognition for quality apps on mobile platforms. The start-up made the first official app for Behance, an online platform that showcases and helps people discover creative work.

In December, Adobe acquired Behance to bolster its community capabilities in the creative cloud, making the Thumb Labs purchase a natural next step. Thumb Labs employees will join Adobe, and after a few weeks Thumb Labs services will no longer be offered.

No financial details have been officially disclosed for either the Thumb Labs or Behance acquisitions.
