Bristow Group Lifts Dividend 25%

Updated

Energy industry helicopter service provider Bristow Group announced yesterday its first-quarter dividend of $0.25 per share, a 25% increase from the $0.20-per-share payment it made last quarter.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on June 14 to the holders of record at the close of business on May 31. The chopper flyer has paid a dividend every quarter since 2011.

Bristow Group CEO William E. Chiles said: "The Board's decision to increase our quarterly dividend 33 percent in fiscal year 2013 and 25 percent this fiscal year reflects management's commitment to deliver a solid return to our shareholders."

The new dividend payment equates to a $1.00-per-share annual dividend yielding 1.5% based on the closing price of Bristow Group's stock on May 20.
