Cloud Provider Selects Mellanox's InfiniBand as Their Private and Public Cloud Interconnect

SUNNYVALE, Calif. & YOKNEAM, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Mellanox® Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ: MLNX; TASE: MLNX), a leading supplier of high-performance, end-to-end interconnect solutions for data center servers and storage systems, today announced its industry- and performance-leading InfiniBand solutions were selected by Dutch cloud service provider, Cloud Provider, a cloud hosting and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider in the Netherlands, as its standard interconnect infrastructure for their enterprise cloud deployments.
With more than 500 clients and resellers, Cloud Provider offers its customers a cloud platform to build and scale applications and websites on-demand. Utilizing Mellanox's InfiniBand interconnect solutions, Cloud Provider reduced their cost of deployment and decreased the complexity of their data center environments, providing their customers with a significantly higher performance cloud computing platform at an overall lower price.

Cloud Provider has been using InfiniBand within its own data center for the past 2.5 years, conducting research around use of the interconnect for distributed storage and scalable cloud infrastructures. Due to InfiniBand's high levels of return on investment and superior application cost/performance, Cloud Provider decided to use InfiniBand over 10 or 40 Gigabit Ethernet as the core of the company's offering.
