Avnet Velocity Global Vice President Douglas Kent to co-present with Gartner analysts Greg Aimi and Ray Barger during Gartner's Supply Chain Executive Summit

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Avnet, Inc. (NYSE:AVT), a leading global technology distributor, today announced that Douglas Kent, global vice president of Avnet Velocity, will co-present an end-user case study with Gartner analysts Greg Aimi and Ray Barger titled, "Multi-Tier Visibility Is Now Table Stakes: Making Smart Bets on Upstream Supplier Visibility," at the Gartner Supply Chain Executive Summit. The summit will be held at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix, Arizona, May 21-23, 2013. Kent's session will take place at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, May 23.

"For many companies, significant supply chain execution risks come from lack of visibility into multiple tiers of their upstream supply chain," said Douglas Kent, global vice president, Avnet Velocity. "Multi-tier supplier visibility and supplier collaboration have become critical to mitigating risk when upstream events don't go as planned. During this presentation, Greg, Ray and I will discuss how to develop and implement supply chain solutions that improve visibility, allowing organizations to better manage their supply chain challenges and mitigate risks."
