Aruba Networks Provides WLAN in 300+ Red Robin® Restaurants to Support iPad Use for Managers and Innovative Training Program for New Team Members

Casual Dining Chain Uses Wireless Network for New Multi-Media Training

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Aruba Networks, Inc. (NAS: ARUN) , a leading provider of next-generation network access solutions for the mobile enterprise, today announced that it is providing Wireless LAN (WLAN) infrastructure for 330 Red Robin® restaurants across the nation to support new multi-media training programs for all new Red Robin hires. The network enhancement, which includes the addition of Aruba access points and Aruba's AirWave Network Management System, not only enables new video intensive training programs, but also allows for the use of iPads for restaurant managers to help improve day-to-day restaurant business operations.

New training applications for Red Robin's restaurant team members include customized video modules for a variety of restaurant positions from cooks to hosts. With the added capacity for video, the wireless network provides the necessary performance to more efficiently and effectively train new team members, and to support other labor initiatives and goals.

Red Robin first started deploying Aruba's secure and robust WLAN at its home office in Greenwood Village, Colorado and corporate-owned restaurants nationwide in 2009. As the restaurant chain continued to leverage the wireless network for more business functions including multi-media training programs, the company upgraded their network to accommodate their expanding needs.
