Lenovo Launching New Ultrabook In June

Updated

Lenovo will launch its newest ultrabook, the IdeaPad Yoga 11S, on June 23 for a starting price of $799.99. Lenovo is already accepting preorders for the Yoga 11S.

The 11S is the latest product in Lenovo's line of "Yoga" branded products. Named aptly for its ability to function in four different modes, the Yoga 11S shows Lenovo's focus to create more than a "laptop" or "tablet;" it also functions in "tent" and "stand" mode.

Pre-installed with Windows 8, the Yoga 11S sports an 11.6-inch, multitouch screen, Intel processors, and Dolby Home Theatre audio. Gartner's recently reported that, while PC shipments fell 20.5% in Western Europe in Q1 versus the previous year, Lenovo experienced shipment growth of 7.2%, and notched 11.6% market share in the region in the first quarter. The Yoga 11S adds to Lenovo's product arsenal. However, Hewlett-Packard isn't standing by. The company will soon launch another "two-in-one detachable PC" -- the HP Split x2 -- to function as a laptop and tablet.
