PerkinElmer Launches New OneSource®Laboratory Consulting Services to Drive Improved Laboratory Efficiencies

New consulting services will leverage expertise derived from the largest laboratory services and informatics offering install base

WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- PerkinElmer, Inc., a global leader focused on improving the health and safety of people and the environment, announced today that it is expanding its OneSource® Laboratory Services offering to include strategic laboratory consulting services. OneSource® Strategic Lab Solutions will deliver the combined power of PerkinElmer's expertise in informatics, instrumentation, service and process optimization, to increase laboratories' productivity and performance.


Due to limited access to laboratory personnel, information technology expertise and budgetary resources, it is often challenging for companies to focus on optimizing their laboratory operations. With the OneSource Strategic Lab Solutions offering, PerkinElmer has developed a strategic approach to identify and implement new processes and services to improve laboratory workflow and optimize capital assets across the laboratory, including not only instruments, but also laboratory IT systems, staff and processes. The new solutions encompass a wide range of services, including efficiency and productivity, lab assessment, strategic prioritization, and scientific knowledge management.

  • Strategic Prioritization Services - Assistance in defining, selecting, prioritizing and planning laboratory efficiency projects.

  • Scientific Knowledge Management Services - A sound scientific knowledge management strategy can be put in place to collect, analyze, store and report data to support key decisions.
