Stofa and SeaChange Extend Longstanding Partnership with New Maintenance Contract for Existing Video-on-Demand Services

ACTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- SeaChange International (NAS: SEAC) , a leading global multi-screen video software innovator, today announced that Denmark's second largest cable television operator, Stofa, has signed a multi-year service and maintenance contract for its SeaChange Adrenalin VOD (video-on-demand) services. Stofa has been a customer of SeaChange since 2007 and this new contract further extends their longstanding relationship.

Stofa A/S is a triple-play operator serving about 400,000 Danish households. It provides a broad service offering covering television and pay-TV, broadband internet and telephony. In addition to VOD, its Adrenalin supported television services include time-shift TV, a 48-hour catch-up TV service, Web-TV and Web-TV-2-GO, Digital Video Broadcasting-C/IP set-top and personal video recorder services. To support this broad range of TV services, Stofa also uses SeaChange's CASIS and STAGIS System Information/Program Specific Information solution.

Adrenalin is based on an open service-oriented architecture which delivers a television experience that scales to serve millions of TV programs, movies and other assets to any video device across multiple network types, either deployed in a network or in a hosted model. SeaChange will demonstrate Adrenalin and its other VOD, multi-screen and advertising software solutions during the ANGA COM conference in Cologne, June 4-6.

"With 400,000 subscribers, we need to know that our VOD service is stable and reliable and that we can resolve issues without visible impact on subscribers' enjoyment," said Thomas Helbo, CTO, Stofa. "SeaChange has been delivering high quality technology and services to us since 2007 and we are very happy to extend our partnership with them again."

"We are delighted to continue our strong relationship with Stofa in yet another demonstration of our focus on this region, with customers from Denmark to Estonia," said Andrei Noppe, General Manager, SeaChange EMEA and APAC. "Throughout Europe, customers come to SeaChange for our deep experience and expertise in on-demand service development. Today, SeaChange's customers across Europe serve an estimated 36 million subscribers on televisions, PCs, tablets and mobile phones - and this number is growing. Our open and flexible platform provides a fast way to market, with a cost-efficient path to future growth in subscribers, services and device platforms."

About Stofa

Stofa is a Danish triple play operator providing a broad selection of television & pay-TV offerings, high speed broadband and telephone services to its customers. For the past 54 years Stofa has developed a strategic relationship to some 300 antenna associations in Denmark. With 450 employees at its headquarters in Horsens and five branch offices across Denmark, Stofa has generated sales of EUR 180 million in 2012.

Throughout the past few years the TV has converged with the web, and new services as well as device innovations have been launched at an increasing pace. Thus, Stofa has already introduced time-shift TV, a 48 hour catch-up service, Web-TV and Web-TV-2-Go. To this should be added the proven DVB-C/IP STB & PVR services as well as a VOD service.

Stofa was established in Horsens by Anton Petersen in 1959, and early 2013 Stofa was acquired by SE, a Danish energy concern.
