Steady as She Goes for Morningstar Dividend

Financial information provider Morningstar announced yesterday its second-quarter dividend of $0.125 per share, the same rate it's paid the last two quarters after it increased it 25% from $0.10 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on July 31 to the holders of record at the close of business on July 12. Morningstar has increased the payout every year since 2010.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.50-per-share annual dividend yielding 0.7% based on the closing price of Morningstar's stock on May 14.
