PPL Keeps Dividend Steady

PPL is keeping true to its conservative nature by maintaining its shareholder payout. The company has declared a fresh quarterly dividend of $0.3675 per share of its common stock, to be handed out on July 1 to shareholders of record as of June 10.That amount matches the company's previous distribution, which was paid in early April. Before that, PPL dispensed $0.36 per share.

In the press release announcing the move, the company pointed out that it marks its 270th consecutive quarterly distribution.

The just-announced dividend annualizes to $1.47 per share. That yields 4.6% at PPL's most recent closing stock price of $32.01.
