Rail car manufacturer FreightCar Americawill pay a second-quarter dividend of $0.06 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past five quarters after reinstating the payout, the company announced yesterday.
The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on May 31 to the holders of record at the close of business on May 24. FreightCar had begun paying a dividend quarterly in 2005 and suspended the payout in 2010. It reinstated the dividend at the same $0.06-per-share rate it had been paying previously.
The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.24-per-share annual dividend yielding 1.3% based on the closing price of FreightCar America's stock on May 14.
