Boeing Resumes 787 Deliveries

After four months of being grounded by the Federal Aviation Administration, Boeingsaid today that deliveries of its 787 Dreamliner have resumed. The company's new flagship plane was grounded a few months ago, after a problem with the batteries caused them to overheat. The company resumed its first deliveries from its Everett, Wash., factory to Japanese company All Nippon Airways.

Randy Tinseth, vice president of marketing for Boeing, said in a blog post today: "The health of our 787 factories in Everett and North Charleston has never been better or more efficient. And despite the disruption in deliveries over the past several months, we still expect to deliver all the 787s we originally planned to by the end of the year."
