NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- LMP Capital and Income Fund Inc. (NYS: SCD) to host a conference call today, May 14, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. (EDT). Fund portfolio managers, Peter Vanderlee and Mark McAllister, will provide an update on the Fund's investment portfolio, strategy and market outlook. The call will conclude with a question and answer session with the Fund's entire ClearBridge Investments, LLC portfolio management team, which includes Timothy R. Daubenspeck and Tatiana Thibodeau.

The Fund's primary investment objective is total return with an emphasis on income.

The Fund will vary its allocation between equity and fixed income securities depending on ClearBridge Investments, LLC's ("ClearBridge") view of economic, market or political conditions, fiscal and monetary policy and security valuation.
