Exelis awarded night vision contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center
ROANOKE, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ITT Exelis (NYS: XLS) has been awarded a contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane to supply up to 4500 Generation 3 high performance advanced image intensifier tubes to be used in existing ground and aviation night vision devices for the United States Special Operations Command. This advanced image intensifier capability, offers unprecedented quality and performance, and provides Special Forces operators with the enhanced technical advantage they require during night operations.
