DeVry University Earns Accreditation of its Business and Accounting Degree Programs by the ACBSP

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Board of Commissioners has granted DeVry University initial accreditation of its business and accounting degree programs*. This accreditation certifies that the degree program offerings at DeVry University's College of Business and Management meet the rigorous educational standards established by ACBSP.

"This accreditation is evidence that DeVry University is committed to providing the highest quality business education for their students," said Steve Parscale, ACBSP director of accreditation. "By simultaneously pursuing specialized accreditation for its accounting degree program, DeVry University has set a new standard of quality for their College of Business and Management." DeVry University is one of nine institutions that have achieved separate accounting accreditation since ACBSP began offering it in 2009.

"This is great news for DeVry University and its Keller Graduate School of Management. This accreditation reinforces that our business and accounting degree programs meet highly-specialized academic standards," said Dr. Donna Loraine, vice president of Academic Affairs and dean of Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University. "We are proud to receive recognition for the excellence of our business and accounting offerings. It is this type of validation that ultimately helps our students achieve both their academic and career goals."

ACBSP is one of three major accrediting agencies for business schools and is a leading specialized accreditation association for business education. Accreditation by ACBSP is based on an independent evaluation of an institution's business school or program by a group of professionals, which include faculty and academic administrators in the field of business.
