Updated

Real estate investment trust Annaly Capital Management yesterday declared second-quarter dividends on three classes of its preferred shares payable on July 1 to stockholders of record on June 3.

For its 7.875% Series A cumulative redeemable preferred stock, which trades on the NYSE under the symbol NLY.A, Annaly will pay a dividend of $0.492188 per share. For its 7.625% Series C cumulative redeemable preferred stock, which trades on the NYSE under the symbol NLY.C, Annaly will pay a dividend of $0.476563 per share. And for its 7.50% Series D cumulative redeemable preferred stock, which trades on the NYSE under the symbol NLY.D, the REIT will pay a dividend of $0.46875 per share.

Based on the first-quarter dividend of $0.45 for each share of common stock, which was announced in March, the dividend for non-preferred shares annualizes to $1.80 per share. That yields 12% at Annaly Capital Management's most recent closing price on May 13.
