WEST ELM TO OPEN NEW RETAIL STORE IN KING OF PRUSSIA

Home furnishings and décor brand opens second Pennsylvania Store

BROOKLYN, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Home furnishing retailer West Elm announced today that it will open a new retail store in King of Prussia, PA on May 16, 2013 at 10am. Located within The Court at King of Prussia Mall, the 8,406 square foot store will open with the brand's summer assortment, a diverse mix of furniture, home décor, gifts and artist collaborations. On opening day outdoor furniture and textiles as well as the complete garden assortment will be 20% off. The store will be the second West Elm store in Pennsylvania, following the Philadelphia store, which opened in 2005 and is located at 1330 Chestnut Street.

To celebrate the store opening, West Elm is hosting a sweepstakes* offering a chance to win a $2,000 gift card and access for two to the store's private pre-opening celebration on May 15th. The pre-event will be hosted in partnership with Main Line Animal Rescue (MLAR), a Philadelphia based non-profit dedicated to rescuing unwanted and abandoned animals, education and community outreach. A portion of the sales during the event will benefit the organization. Additionally, the first 300 shoppers on opening day will receive a free West Elm King of Prussia tote bag designed by local artist, Jim Digiovanni, with a minimum purchase of $50.

"We've been eyeing a location in King of Prussia for a while and are excited the opening is finally here," said Jim Brett, president of West Elm. "It is so important for our associates in King of Prussia to connect with causes and organizations that are meaningful to their community and we are thrilled to partner with Main Line Animal Rescue."

The King of Prussia store will open with the summer assortment including new furniture and tabletop for outdoor-inspired living. Collaborations will include the Bend Dining Collection, created with Los Angeles-based Gaurav Nanda, and a collection of brightly colored throw pillows designed by illustrator Paulina Reyes. The store will also feature the brand's "West Elm Green" products - a label that proudly indicates responsibly produced, certified organic, recycled, rapidly renewable, or non-toxic products, including the Jardine Outdoor Seating Collection, crafted from weather-resistant FSC®, the Organic Cotton Mandala Bedding and the Dipped Basket Collection.

As in other West Elm locations, associates at the King of Prussia store will be on hand to help customers in the West Elm Design Lab with free one-on-one Home Stylist and In-Home services. Home Stylists can partner on making and mocking up measurements, creating a floor plan, picking paint colors and palettes and mixing new finds with old favorites. In-Home services include everything from painting to installing a photo wall and creating library shelving.

West Elm King of Prussia is open Monday-Saturday from 10am-9pm and Sunday 11am-6pm.
