Do Micro-Cracks Equal Major Problems?

Intuituve Surgical has issued a note that invisible micro-cracks in certain scissor modules may leak electorsurgical energy and cause thermal injury -- in other words, burn patients. Intuituve emphasized that there have been no confirmed cases of burns from these cracks, even after a million-plus surgeries, but the company will have replacement scissors will be available within a month.
