United Adding Daily Flights Between Chicago and Puerto Rico
Airline carrier United has announced it will commence daily flights between Chicago and San Juan, Puerto Rico, starting Nov. 5. Flights will run between Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and San Juan's Luis Munoz Marin International Airport, one per day each way.
Millie Uriarte, Director of Latin America and Caribbean Sales for United, said "San Juan has been one of United's most popular Caribbean destinations for more than two decades. We are very pleased to increase travel options for business travelers, vacationers and families between Chicago and San Juan." With the addition of the Chicago flights, United offers nonstop service between Puerto Rico and five of its hubs.
Daily flights are scheduled to leave Chicago at 8:20 a.m. and take off from Puerto Rico at 3:55 p.m. The route will be operated with Boeing 737-900 aircraft with seating for 167. United Airlines plans to add an additional daily flight during the holiday season of Dec. 4 to Jan. 5.
