Questar Bumps Quarterly Dividend

Questar is opening its financial taps a little wider to return money to shareholders. The company has declared a dividend of $0.18 per share of its common stock, to be paid on June 10 to shareholders of record as of May 24. That amount is $0.01, or 6%, higher than the company's previous payout of $0.17. This was distributed in March.

In the press release announcing the upcoming payment, the company pointed out that this represents its 274th consecutive dividend. It also emphasized that it has increased its distribution 41 times over the last 41 years.

The new dividend annualizes to $0.72 per share. That yields 2.8% at Questar's current stock price of $25.44.
