The Gory Details on Tower Semiconductor's Double Fumble

EPS came in at $0.13. The three earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.24 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.13 for Q1 were 91% lower than the prior-year quarter's $1.50 per share. GAAP EPS were -$0.96 for Q1 compared to -$0.91 per share for the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was 2.3%, much worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was -15.1%, much worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was -20.6%, 910 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $129.6 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.35.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $557.0 million. The average EPS estimate is $1.80.
