Southwest Gas Floats Third-Quarter Dividend

Updated

Natural gas provider Southwest Gas announced yesterday its third-quarter dividend of $0.33 per share, the same rate it paid for the last two quarters after it raised the payout from $0.295 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Sept. 3 to the holders of record at the close of business on Aug. 15. Southwest Gas has paid a dividend every quarter since going public in 1956 and has regularly increased the payout over that time period.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $1.32-per-share annual dividend yielding 2.6% based on the closing price of Southwest Gas' stock on May 8.
