Radisys to Showcase Live Demonstration of VoLTE, Small Cells and Telecom Cloud Technology at CTIA 2013

Radisys experts to share insight into Network Functions Virtualization strategy along with demonstration of a virtualized Evolved Packet Core

HILLSBORO, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Radisys® Corporation (NAS: RSYS) , a market leader enabling wireless infrastructure solutions, today announced that it will host a live demonstration of its end-to-end LTE infrastructure solutions at CTIA 2013, May 21-23, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nev. Radisys experts will be on hand to address the emergence of Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) in the telecom industry and what operators should know as they turn to cloud technology for their network functions. In addition, Radisys is sponsoring the CTIA Executive Breakfast Series: Designing Tomorrow's Wireless Network.

What:

CTIA 2013

When:

May 21-23, 2013

Where:

Radisys' LTE infrastructure solutions have been deployed around the world, touching the lives of four billion people daily. Its Media Resource Function (MRF) provided the media processing for the world's first Voice over LTE deployment with MetroPCS, while its small cell solutions have been deployed in Korea, Japan, North America and the United Kingdom. In addition, Radisys' T-Series Telecom Cloud platform, an American Technology Awards finalist, carries live traffic in wireless networks around the globe.

The Radisys Technology Showcase demonstration will include:

  • Small cells

  • Virtualized Evolved Packet Core (EPC) systems running on ATCA

  • MRF demonstrating live HD VoLTE calls and Rich Communications Suite (RCS) services that include video ringback tones, video conferencing and more

  • Live calls on the latest smartphones and tablets

Radisys' solutions help operators maximize telecom cloud opportunities. Its T-Series platforms enable a wide range of network functions both in the control plane and the data plane. However, operators need to draw a distinction between the control plane and data plane when considering virtualization. Radisys experts will be on hand to share insight into Radisys' strategy for deploying NFV and which applications are best suited for virtualization in the demanding Telco environment.
