How to turn off In-App Purchases on iPhones & iPads
The issue of astronomical in-app purchase bills is never far away from the headlines, from reports of children ringing up $1500 surprises for their parents, to formal investigations conducted by national trade bodies.
Apple's admirably quick to resolve these issues in most cases, but there are no guarantees of getting your money back. Here's our guide to making sure that nothing gets purchased through your iTunes account without you knowing about it.
- First of all, head into the Settings menu, then scroll down and tap on the Restrictions option:
- Select Enable Restrictions and create a Restrictions Password:
