Humana Adding Approximately 500 Jobs Nationwide

Company to add full-time Direct Marketing Services Telesales positions

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Humana Inc. (NYS: HUM) , one of the country's leading health and well-being companies, announced plans to add approximately 500 Telesales Specialists and leadership jobs nationally to its fulltime Direct Marketing Services (DMS) Telesales workforce.


The new jobs will support Humana's DMS retail sales and enrollment operations, and will be located at Humana call centers around the country, including:

  • Madison, Wis. - approximately 60 positions

  • Miramar, Fla. - approximately 80 positions

  • Phoenix, Ariz. - approximately 110 positions

  • San Antonio, Texas - approximately 80 positions

  • Tampa, Fla. - approximately 170 positions

"When a company such as Humana is expanding in Florida that's a good sign," said U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson "And these jobs will help folks in both Tampa and Miramar."

The telesales and client services positions will provide national retail phone sales and enrollment support for Humana's Medicare benefit plans and senior products as well as individual health and specialty products. These positions will directly handle inquiries and provide guidance to develop comprehensive benefit solutions for new and existing Humana members nationwide. Humana is adding these jobs in order to meet the demand of the upcoming annual Medicare open enrollment period from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7, 2013.

Humana currently employs nearly 49,000 full-time and part-time associates nationwide, including subsidiary companies.
