There's a fast-growing online marketplace for virtual help, where users can get strangers to do their errands for money, such as picking up laundry or teaching their children to ride a bike. One New York "lonely boy" is hopping on this trend, posting an ad on Craigslist for an "online dating surrogate" to find potential mates for him online.

The "successful entrepreneur" is looking for someone to: spend an hour a day reviewing profiles of women on three or four dating sites; tag the best "per criteria you will be provided"; and then exchange messages and arrange dates with the lucky chosen singles. The pay is $100 a week, the ad states, and hours are flexible.
