Jacobs Engineering Nabs Contract Option at Elgin AFB

Construction and engineering firm Jacobs Engineering continues to earn its wings with a new Technical and Engineering Acquisition Support 6 contract at the U.S. Air Force's Elgin AFB in Florida. The contract has a potential value of $128 million.

Jacobs' relationship with the Air Force on this program goes all the way back to the program's inception in 1986. Group Vice President Terry Hagen said, "We are pleased to have this opportunity to continue our long-standing work with the Air Force at Eglin and to support the integrated research, acquisition, and test and evaluation necessary to deliver state-of-the-art technology for our Air Force."

With a staff of nearly 800 personnel headquartered at the Air Force base, Jacobs provides technical expertise to help the Air Force develop, acquire, test, deploy, and sustain air-delivered munitions.

Jacobs is one of the world's largest and most diverse providers of technical, professional, and construction services. Its work with the branch of the military includes systems engineering and integration support for virtually all USAF air-launched weapon systems, test and training range systems, and numerous air combat support systems.
