Cardinal Bank Promotes Real Estate Lenders Alexandra L. Bettius and Jason R. McDonough to Vice President

TYSONS CORNER, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cardinal Bank (NAS: CFNL) is pleased to announce that Real Estate Loan Officers Alex L. Bettius and Jason R. McDonough have each been promoted to Vice President of the bank.

McDonough has been with Cardinal Bank since 2006, when he joined the Retail Management Trainee Program. He served in a variety of retail management positions until his 2008 transition to the Lending Team, where he served initially as a Credit Analyst. He was promoted to Real Estate Lender in January, 2010, and to Assistant Vice President in July, 2012. He has co-chaired the Silent Auction of Cardinal Bank Charity Classic, Cardinal's premier fundraising event, since 2009. McDonough recently developed a partnership initiative with the HomeAid Northern Virginia, soliciting donations of appliances, furniture, and other goods from local homebuilders to furnish area shelters. McDonough holds a B.S. from Virginia Tech, and was a 2012 Honors Graduate of the Virginia Bankers Association School of Bank Management, where he also served as Class Secretary.

Bettius also joined Cardinal as a Management Trainee, after her graduation from Rollins College in 2007. After moving to the Real Estate Lending Team in 2008, she became a Real Estate Lending Officer in January, 2011, and was promoted to Assistant Vice President in July, 2012. She recently received her Master of Science in Real Estate Development and Finance from George Mason University, and represented George Mason in the 2013 Capital Challenge Real Estate Case Competition, where her team took top honors. She is active in the Northern Virginia Chapter of the NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association.
