Quanta Services Beats on Both Top and Bottom Lines

EPS came in at $0.34. The 10 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.29 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.34 for Q1 were 55% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.22 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 15.0%, 130 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 7.5%, 190 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 4.5%, 130 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $1.50 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.36.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $6.28 billion. The average EPS estimate is $1.52.
