Prime Health Rejoins Aetna's Network in Southern California

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Aetna (NYSE: AET) announced today that it has reached agreement on a new contract with Prime Health, returning 13 hospitals to Aetna's Southern California network for the first time since 2007. Effective May 1, Aetna members will be able to receive care at in-network benefit levels from:

  • Alvarado Hospital Medical Center;

  • Centinela Hospital Medical Center;

  • Chino Valley Medical Center;

  • Desert Valley Hospital;

  • Encino Hospital Medical Center;

  • Garden Grove Hospital & Medical Center;

  • Huntington Beach Hospital;

  • La Palma Intercommunity Hospital;

  • Montclair Hospital Medical Center;

  • Paradise Valley Hospital;

  • San Dimas Community Hospital;

  • Sherman Oaks Hospital; and

  • West Anaheim Medical Center.

Additionally, Aetna members in commercial plans can now receive care at the in-network level from the physicians at Desert Valley Medical Group.

Aetna serves more than 1.1 members in the greater Los Angeles and greater San Diego areas, providing them with access to a combined contracted network of 191 Southern California hospitals and 30,600 primary care doctors and physician specialists.
