Updated

Huntsman is firing off a higher payout. The company has declared a dividend of $0.125 per share of its common stock, to be paid on June 28 to shareholders of record as of June 14. That amount represents an increase of 25% over the company's previous dividend of $0.10. The company had paid this from March 2007 to Dec. 2012.

Huntsman made its first dividend declaration in the waning days of 2006. Since then, it has handed out a distribution in every quarter, although until now that amount remained steady.

The new dividend annualizes to $0.50 per share. That yields 1.2% at Huntsman's current stock price of $41.83.
