The Fool Looks Ahead

Updated

There's never a dull week on Wall Street. Let's go over some of the news that will shape the week to come.

Monday
The market kicks off a new trading week with Ruckus Wireless reporting quarterly results on Monday. The provider of wireless systems for the mobile Internet infrastructure market went public in November at $15. It moved lower initially, but the stock has crept into the high teens ahead of Monday's report.

Tuesday
ACADIA Pharmaceuticals checks in on Tuesday. The biotech company's lead candidate is pimavanserin, a promising drug that's in the third and final phase of clinical development as a treatment for Parkinson's disease psychosis. Naturally, investors see red ink here, but analysts do see the quarterly deficit narrowing this time around.

Wednesday
Alon Partners USA reports on Wednesday. Analysts see the oil refiner earning $1.36 per unit on Wednesday, and that's welcome news for investors. Alon Partners is set up as a limited partnership, passing on most of the money it makes to its stakeholders.

Thursday
NVIDIA
steps up on Thursday. The graphics-chip pioneer has been gaining ground in tablets as smartphones as opportunities within the PC box are dimming.

Like many once high-flying tech darlings trying to woo income investors, NVIDIA began paying out quarterly dividends late last year. The stock commands a reasonable 2.2% yield for patient investors.

Friday
The market is typically quiet on Friday, but that's certainly not the case during earnings season. Abraxas Petroleum checks in with its latest quarterly results on Friday morning. The San Antonio-based crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company is expected to post breakeven results.
