EPS details
EPS came in at $0.71. The 14 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.70 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.71 for Q1 were 1.4% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.70 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.65 for Q1 were 30% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.93 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 43.7%, 940 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 28.2%, 250 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 16.8%, 360 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)

Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $2.72 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.46.
