Ultimate Announces Schedule of Presentations at the American Payroll Association's 31st Annual Congr

WHAT:

On May 9 at 6 p.m. CT, Ultimate's Global Product Strategist Ivan Chaney and NVIDIA's Senior Manager of Global Payroll Mary Brumm, CPP, will outline the common challenges that multinational corporations face — such as operational efficiencies, accessibility to key data and metrics, cultural complexities, compliance, data security — when expanding operations outside of the U.S. They will review the essential considerations organizations need to know to begin or elevate their initiatives when managing global payroll, including data collection, governance, strategy, culture, payroll sourcing models, global compliance, data security, and more.

On May 10 at 8 a.m. CT, Ultimate Software's Chief Information Officer Bill Hicks will outline best practices on how payroll leaders and teams can elevate payroll operations as well as impact the overall business. He also will identify some of today's most relevant technology innovations, discuss how payroll and HR can be optimized with these new technologies, and provide recommendations on how payroll leaders can successfully harness these tools for improved business results.

WHO:

Bill Hicks is chief information officer at Ultimate Software, overseeing a wide range of business areas at Ultimate, including corporate technology, learning services, payment services, and shared services. His recent speaking experiences include IHRIM HRM Strategies in 2009 and the APA Congress in 2009, 2011, and 2012.

Ivan Chaney is the global product strategist at Ultimate Software, helping to shape the vision and direction of Ultimate's global offerings. He has 17 years of professional experience in human resources and HR technology as well as advanced knowledge and background in the HCM market and software industry in both EMEA and the U.S.

Mary Brumm, senior manager of global payroll at NVIDIA, has more than 30 years of experience in finance and payroll and earned her CPP in 2003. She is a member of the American Payroll Association. She currently serves on the Silicon Valley Chapter as treasurer and director of education and has held the roles of president and past president. In 2009, Brumm won the Donald W. Shaper Education Grant, and in 2011, she received the APA Meritorious Service Award.
