Tyco Keeps $0.16 Dividend Steady

Updated

Tyco declared it will pay a quarterly cash dividend of $0.16 per share on August 21 to shareholders of record at the close of business on July 26.

That rate is the same one that the fire protection and security specialist paid last quarter when it raised its dividend by a penny, or almost 7%. Tyco has consistently paid a dividend for more than two decades. In September, it spun off its North American security business to shareholders.

The new dividend annualizes to $0.64 per share, and yields 2% at the closing price of Tyco's stock on May 2.
