Google Updates Gmail to Add Google Calendar Events
Google has updated Gmail with more convenient Google calendar scheduling.
With the update, Gmail users will see dates and times in their emails lightly underlined. Once they click underlined date and time, Google says, users can quickly schedule an event such as a conference call or lunch date on Google Calendar without leaving Gmail. Just as on Google calendar, users can preview the schedule for the day and change the title, date, or time of the event.
Over the next week, Google will roll out this feature to everyone with the English (U.S.) language. Soon, they'll add the functionality to other languages.
The news comes after two other, recent advancements with Gmail. In March, the company updated the design of Gmail's Web app for Android, Blackberry, iOS, and Kindle Fire. Back in December, the company added two Gmail Labs features: "Send and archive," "Default reply all."
