USA Technologies Introduces ePort Mobile as a Turnkey Solution for B2B and B2C Transactions at 2013 ETA Annual Meeting and Expo
One-Stop Shop Approach Simplifies Cashless Adoption for Businesses "On the Go"
NEW ORLEANS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- USA Technologies, Inc. (NAS: USAT) ("USAT"), a leader of wireless, cashless payment and M2M telemetry solutions for small-ticket, self-serve retailing industries is showcasing ePort MobileTM—an extension of USAT's flagship ePort Connect® service—at the 2013 ETA Annual Meeting & Expo, at the New Orleans Convention Center in New Orleans.
ePort Mobile is a mobile acceptance solution for credit and debit cards that is supported by USAT's ePort Connect® service, a comprehensive platform designed to make accepting credit, debit and other forms of cashless payment easy and scalable. USAT's ePort Connect service is a turnkey service that includes everything from payments processing and customer support to additional services such as prepaid, loyalty and mobile marketing apps. At the ETA Show, USAT will be introducing ePort Mobile, in conjunction with its ePort Connect service, to potential ISO and distribution partners.
ePort Mobile is available as a download from the iTunes and Google Play Store, and is also available through USAT as an All-In-One solution that includes the phone and data plan.
Packaged as an All-In-One payments solution, ePort Mobile customers will receive:
Payment processing services powered by USAT's ePort Connect service
"The ePort Mobile all-in-one package responds to customer requests for a more controlled solution that prevents the need for company employees to download a mobile app to their personal phones," explained Michael K. Lawlor, USAT's Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development. "Offering a turnkey package that includes the locked down phone, data plan, application and reader for one monthly fee extends USAT's one-stop shop philosophy to the many businesses we believe can benefit from mobile payments.
"Despite continued and increasing consumer demand for businesses to accept credit and debit cards for payment, there remain B2B (business to business) and B2C (business to consumer) markets that still rely heavily on cash," continued Lawlor. "In the course of a week, I might interact with the home repairman, pay for food delivery from my favorite restaurant or write a check at a fundraising event. We believe these businesses or events are still taking cash or processing card acceptance in a very manually-intensive or inefficient way and that the process of accepting credit or debit card is often not secure (for example, keeping paper records of card numbers). A mobile acceptance platform can help them improve their business by taking advantage of USAT's secure brand, pre-negotiated discounted rates, integrated reporting and settlement capabilities and 24/ 7 customer service."
ePort Mobile specifications include:
iOS 4.1 and Android 2.3+ compatibility
Receipts on demand via email
Reporting via mobile device and USAT's web portal, USA Live
Level 1 PCI Compliant
