Pentagon Contract Awards Thursday Total $333.4 Million

The Department of Defense awarded 11 contracts worth a combined $333.3 million Thursday. Most went to smaller, privately held firms, but among publicly traded companies there were some winners, as well. Among them:

Reliance Steel & Aluminum subsidiary AMI Metals won $48.9 million for the exercise of a second (out of three possible) option year extension of a two-year base contract to supply the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support with heat-treated aluminum sheet and plate materials. This contract was of the "fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity" variety, and runs through May 31, 2014.

Moog won a $39.7 million firm-fixed-price requirements contract to perform repairs on Navy F/A-18 fighter jets. This contract should be completed by Nov. 4, 2015.

Northrop Grumman was awarded $7 million for a ceiling-priced delivery order to perform repairs on Navy EA-18G Growler electronic warfare aircraft. Completion date: May 2, 2015.
