Meriwether Group Adds COO from Endeavour Capital, New Principal and Attracts Nike, Perkins Coie and Executives to Board of Advisors

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Following a robust round of notable deals including Dave's Killer Bread, the Meriwether Group is preparing for more growth with the addition of a Chief Operating Officer and Principal as well as formulation of its first Advisory Board. Continuing to attract top business brands, Portland-based Bishops Barbershop also joins its client roster.

Jake Kindrachuk joins Meriwether Group as COO and managing director formerly from Endeavour Capital, where he helped guide a $1.5 billion private equity fund focused on companies in the Western U.S. His mergers and acquisitions background also includes international finance experience. In his new role, Kindrachuk will oversee daily operations and long-term positioning for the Meriwether Group. He'll also serve as managing director of Meriwether Capital Partners targeting disruptive consumer brands on the West Coast.


The Meriwether Group added Principal Carey Johnston, who brings more than a decade of experience working with food brands including Oregon Chai, Kerry Food and Beverage, Living Harvest and Food Should Taste Good.

Top Brand Leaders Join Board of Advisors

Nike (NYSE: NKE) Vice President of Global Growth Initiatives Clare Hamill joins Perkins Coie Director of Business Development Scott Staff and Executive Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer Steven Wynne of Moda Health (formerly ODS Companies) on Meriwether Group's new Advisory Board, guiding growth strategy and planning for the firm's business acceleration practice.

Her roles have included serving as Vice President of Commerce for Nike affiliates, including Cole Hahn, Converse and Hurley and Vice President and General Manager of Global Footwear. Hamill is a founding board member of the Children's Cancer Association and resides in Portland, Ore.

Staff serves as Director of Business Development for Perkins Coie LLP, a 900-attorney law firm with 19 offices across the United States and Asia that provides a full array of legal services to a broad range of clients from small, independent start-ups to FORTUNE 500 corporations. Overseeing the firm's client service teams for some of the country's largest and most innovative companies, he leads and sets the tone for business development strategy across the firm. Staff is based in Seattle, Wash.

Wynne has 35 years of experience related to the formation, financing and management of emerging companies. Wynne founded the law firm Ater Wynne, LLP, in addition to serving as acting Senior Vice President and General Counsel of FLIR systems, Chairman and CEO of eteamz.com, CEO of Sport Brands International and President and CEO of adidas America. Wynne currently sits on the JELD-WEN, Inc., FLIR Systems and Zapproved Board of Directors, and is based in Portland, Ore.
