Boeing's Order Book Shrinks
Boeing released its latest report on airplane orders received -- and canceled -- in the first four months of 2013 Thursday.
To date, the aerospace giant has booked:
206 "gross" orders for various flavors of its 737 regional airliner
Three 747 orders
20 for the 777 airliner
And 42 orders for its bedeviled 787 Dreamliner.
From this total, Boeing subtracted three 737s, five 747s, and eight 777s for customer cancellations, resulting in a net of 255 commercial airplanes ordered year to date. The five 747s were canceled over just the past month; the others, in preceding months.
Boeing shares climbed 1.1% regardless, closing at $92.21 on Thursday.
