TECO Energy Declares Dividend
TECO Energy is continuing to be a consistent and steady dividend payer. The company announced it will hand out a distribution of $0.22 per share of its common stock on May 28 to shareholders of record as of May 13. That amount matches each of the firm's previous five disbursements, the most recent of which was dispensed at the end of February. Prior to that, TECO Energy had paid $0.215 per share.
The dividend announcement comes a day after the company released its Q1 results, which revealed lower revenues and net profit compared to the same period of 2012.
The just-declared dividend annualizes to $0.88 per share. That yields 4.6% at TECO Energy's current stock price of $18.97.
