(The prior-year quarter included $0.04 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.) GAAP EPS of $0.62 for Q1 were 63% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.38 per share. For the quarter, gross margin was 65.6%, 50 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 11.4%, 160 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 7.2%, 180 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $793.6 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.95.
