Free Expert Advice, Resources and Products Available to Help Small Businesses 'Hire Smart'

Intuit, LinkedIn Offer Materials to Give Growing Businesses Confidence During the Hiring Process

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Looking for advice on how to make smart hiring decisions? Small businesses can now access for free the content that was shared at the Hire Smart Small Business Event co-hosted by Intuit (NAS: INTU) and LinkedIn (NYS: LNKD) .


The free event, held at Intuit's Mountain View campus, attracted hundreds of small businesses. To allow even more small businesses to benefit from the insights shared and free resources offered, the two companies are making the content available online. Small businesses will have access to:

  • Video sessions from experts providing advice on hiring, firing and everything in between.

  • Three months free of Intuit Online Payroll, from the No. 1 payroll provider with over one million small business customers.

  • Step-by-step video tutorials to help small businesses get started on offerings.

Popular Event, Expert Speakers

Hundreds of small businesses attended the event, receiving tools and insights needed to hire their first employee. Held on April 27 at Intuit's Mountain View headquarters and streamed online to thousands, the event brought together guest speakers, expert advisors and free resources to help small businesses make the right decisions when hiring workers.

Brad Smith, Intuit president and CEO, and Jeff Weiner, LinkedIn CEO and Intuit board member, opened the event, reinforcing both companies' commitment to helping small businesses grow and prosper. Additionally, "Apprentice" winner Bill Rancic, and award-winning author, USA Today columnist and small business owner Rhonda Abrams provided tangible advice to allow small businesses to be better prepared as they look to hire.

"It was inspiring to see so many small businesses committed to taking such a pivotal step in the growth of their business at Hire Smart," said Abrams. "Hiring is one of the biggest moments in a small business's life and it was an honor to work with Intuit and LinkedIn to support them in their journey."
