Updated

On Tuesday, the Department of Defense awarded contractor Booz Allen Hamilton a contract worth an estimated $65.6 million to support the Defense Readiness Support System-Navy.

Booz Allen will perform systems engineering, integration, test and evaluation, and lifecycle support work, as well as technical support services required to augment readiness programs and projects, and market research on commercial and/or military hardware and software appropriate for use in military readiness reporting tasks. The company is expected to complete work on the contract by April 29, 2016.

According to DoD, this is a multiple-award contract that actually has two recipients who will compete for the pool of available funds. However, the other winner, privately held InnovaSystems International, LLC, had its award set at $58.7 million.
