API Healthcare Announces Record First Quarter

Continued strong momentum stems from increased demand for company's innovative workforce technology solutions

HARTFORD, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- API Healthcare, architect of the revolutionary Healthcare Workforce Information Exchange (HwIE), today announced an increase of 25 percent in sales bookings compared to first quarter 2012. Decreasing reimbursements, increasing operating expenses and more patients requiring a greater demand for care services are driving healthcare organizations to seek out comprehensive and innovative technology solutions for managing the workforce.

"Our clients choose us because we provide them with innovative solutions that address the specific needs and challenges they face today and will face in the future," said J.P. Fingado, president and chief executive officer, API Healthcare. "Our strong start to the year is attributable to the fact that we are demonstrating immediate value for healthcare organizations as they deploy our solutions. API Healthcare has taken the lead in developing comprehensive technology that enables organizations to take a broad approach to addressing the strategic development and deployment of their current and future workforce."

More than 25 healthcare organizations signed contracts with API Healthcare in the first quarter of 2013.

"API Healthcare is a key partner in our efforts to bring quality and affordable care to the community that we serve," said Bruce Whittington, vice president of human resources, Hays Medical Center. "Partnering with API Healthcare provides us with leading edge technology solutions that allow us to more effectively manage our team. The ability to take important data from the Electronic Employee Record (EER) and share it across our entire organization is highly valuable, as it ensures the staffing decisions we make are the right ones for patients, associates and Hays Medical Center."

"API Healthcare has been a valued partner in our efforts to have a positive impact on the lives of our patients, employees and the community that we serve," said Deanie Merrifield, administrative director of treasury services and patient accounting, Southern Ohio Medical Center. "Their continued commitment to providing quality technology specifically designed for our needs and challenges has made a significant difference in our ability to manage employee resources effectively and efficiently."
