Active Network's CEO, Chairman Resign

Updated

Active Network is on the hunt for a new chief executive following the resignation of Matthew Landa. His place will be taken, on an interim basis, by Jon Belmonte. The appointment is effective immediately. Belmonte is the firm's former chief media officer and COO.

Meanwhile, David Alberga has stepped down from his post of chairman of Active Network's board. However, both he and Landa will remain as board members until their terms expire. For Alberga, this will be until the company's annual general meeting in 2014, while Landa's term will last until the same event this year.

The firm said its board has launched a search for a permanent CEO, and will retain an executive search company to help it in this effort.
