Torchmark Keeps Quarterly Dividend at $0.17

Life and supplemental health insurance provider Torchmark will pay a regular quarterly dividend of $0.17 on Aug. 1 to shareholders of record at the close of business on July 7, the company announced Monday.

It has paid a quarterly dividend consistently since 2000. The previous quarterly dividend, declared in March, was $0.17, up from $0.15. Torchmark's insurance is targeted toward middle-income Americans through several nationally recognized insurance subsidiaries including Globe Life & Accident, American Income Life, and Liberty National Life.

The most recent dividend payment equates to a $0.68-per-share annual dividend yielding 1.1%.
