Spirit Airlines Beats Up on Analysts Yet Again
Spirit Airlines (NAS: SAVE) reported earnings on April 30. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.45. The 10 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $0.42 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.45 for Q1 were 36% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.33 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.42 for Q1 were 31% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.32 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 45.3%, much better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 13.5%, 100 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 8.2%, 40 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $415.5 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.60.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $1.61 billion. The average EPS estimate is $2.01.
