Puget Sound Energy Surprises Customers with Re-Energized by Design Lighting Makeover Takeovers
Home lighting makeovers including LEDs offered to lucky winners
BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Today Puget Sound Energy announced the launch of PSE's Re-Energized by Design Lighting Makeover Takeover, a campaign where broadcaster-turned-podcaster Marty Riemer will surprise lucky PSE residential electric customers with home lighting makeovers that will include light emitting diode (LED) bulbs.
On two Saturdays in May, PSE and Marty Riemer will be handing out free Re-Energize Lighting Starter Kits and Re-Energize Whole-Home Kits (a $55 to $66 value), from noon to 2 p.m. at McLendon Hardware locations. In addition to the Re-Energize kits (up to 50 kits per location), at least one lucky PSE electric customer shopping at McLendon Hardware on each day may be surprised with the offer of a home lighting LED makeover from Marty.

PSE will be celebrating Mother's Day at the May 11 event by giving a free LED bulb to all women (up to 200), in addition to their kit. At the May 18 event PSE will celebrate Armed Forces Day by giving a free LED bulb to veterans and anyone in uniform (up to 200), in addition to their kit.
"Marty is hitting the streets with PSE to challenge the public to switch out their old incandescent bulbs for high-efficiency lighting, including LEDs," said Joel Smith, lighting expert at PSE. "The lucky customers who win Lighting Makeover Takeovers will learn what type of lighting is best for each space in their home, receive the latest, most efficient lighting products and save money. Plus, the icing on the cake, Marty Riemer will personally change out the bulbs."
PSE will be announcing additional ways customers can win a Re-Energized by Design Lighting Makeover Takeover with Marty Reimer in the coming weeks.
Marty and his sidekick, Joel, will visit each winner's home in PSE's all-electric Nissan LEAF® outfitted with a stockpile of the latest LED and CFL bulbs. A film crew will follow Marty and Joel as they change out bulbs and walk the homeowners through the lighting upgrades. Lighting Makeover Takeover videos will be posted at PSE.com/ReEnergizedbyDesign.
